The Steelers have finally won their fifth Super Bowl!!!!

While the game was not super, and, yes the officiating sucked, it's hard to resist the story of the Bus winning the Super Bowl in his final game in his home town with his adoring parents in the stands. Or Bill Cowher (C0hr-one syllable), hometown boy, finally winning the championship. Or the Rooney's and their famous loyalty, with two coaches in 30 years.

Great for the team and the city.

Now let's start on the other hand!!

State of the "Union"

I was overwhelmed by the president's use of divisive rhetoric in the State of the Union address. Those of us who disagree vehemently with his policies on the war are calling for "retreat" and are warped by a "false comfort of isolationism." A democrat's call for an open analysis of our policies is now called second guessing. Guess what? An intelligent and confident president could make a reasoned and persuasive argument for his policies instead of the all too easy "if you disagree with me you must be totally full of shit" approach.

Good thing no one else paid attention.
